SWALEH SWALLOWED; WHEN THE ‘SWEET’ TURNS SOUR!!

Former Renown journalist Salim Swaleh has delivered a heartfelt apology to Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi. Swaleh, former Director of Press Service at the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary, has expressed deep regret over masterminding the 5.8M fraud case in the top office. In an emotionally charged video circulating online, Swaleh, with tears in his eyes, desperately implored Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi for assistance. He candidly revealed his deep regret and openly admitted that he had betrayed the trust placed in him.

KQ’s TURBULENCE TO TRIUMPH; KENYANS TAKE!!

Swaleh’s apology comes after several unsuccessful attempts to contact Mudavadi directly. Consequently, in the video, he has openly described the emotional turmoil he has faced since the scandal emerged. “I served you with unmatched zeal, I broke the trust I did, and I am sorry about it. The last month has been so difficult for me. I have been unable to even walk out because of the kind of publicity I received,”
He went on to paint a vivid picture of the immense burden he has carried since. Additionally, Swaleh claims  that the ceaseless pressure from the court proceedings and the incessant negative publicity had left him on the edge. Consequently, this has left him contemplating severe actions.
“A lot of things have been running through my mind. Sometimes I even feel like taking my own life. I lost everything in the blink of an eye,”
Furthermore, Swaleh has shed light on the severe financial and legal pressures weighing on him. He claims that the court proceedings have been unnecessarily prolonged. Additionally, he alleges that both lawyers and police officers have been taking advantage of the situation for their own financial benefit.
“Every time we go to court, the lawyers are on my neck, the police are on my neck. Everybody is extorting left, right, and Centre. They think I have a lot of money, but every time we go there, we are told the prosecution has not received any direction on what should happen to the case,”
He went on to detail the difficulty of managing his finances during this tumultuous time. This he says is because his salary was abruptly discontinued. This sudden interruption in income left him unable to meet his financial commitments. For this reason, Salim Swaleh has pleaded with Mudavadi to pardon Him.
“It’s the end of the month; bills are piling up, salaries stopped abruptly, I have loans. Please find it in your heart to forgive me,”
Swaleh’s apology comes after he was arrested alongside other high-ranking officials from the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary and the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs. Swaleh and his collaborators were allegedly involved in a well-organized cartel operating within the Railways Office. The fraudulent scheme, in detail, consisted of duping foreigners by masquerading as senior government officials or VIP guests. Subsequently, they made empty promises in exchange for hefty bribes
