Chinese Tech Giant Huawei has just debuted the groundbreaking Huawei Mate XT. This is a revolutionary device featuring the world’s first dual-hinged, triple-screen foldable design. Foldable phones typically feature a single hinge, but the Huawei Mate XT introduces an innovative bi-fold hinge design. This unique hinge enables the device to fold into a distinctive ‘Z’ shape, setting it apart from other foldable models. The Huawei Mate XT ingeniously unfolds into a large tablet and folds back into a conventional phone, redefining the boundaries of what a mobile device can be.

The Huawei Mate XT, weighing 298 grams, features an impressively thin profile. When opened fully, it boasts a mere 3.6mm thickness, positioning it among the slimmest devices on the market. This thinness is achieved through sophisticated technology, including a durable laminated structure and the application of non-Newtonian fluid, enhancing both its strength and flexibility.

According to Huawei CEO Richard Yu, the company has been working on the Huawei Mate XT for the past five years. This is the most premium foldable phone series the company has ever released with
premium features including the satellite communication

“Today we bring you a product that everyone can think of but could not make. Our team has been working hard for five years and has never given up. Today we will once again rewrite the history of the industry, turn science fiction into reality, and lead a new era of folding devices”

The Mate XT is equipped with a powerful camera array: a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12 MP telephoto lens with 5.5x optical zoom. An 8 MP front-facing camera, neatly integrated into a punch-hole cutout, handles selfies and video calls.
Additionally, it combines its slender 3.6mm design with a powerful 5600mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is claimed to be the thinnest ever integrated into a smartphone. For added convenience, the device supports 66W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging, ensuring you stay charged all day. The Huawei Mate XT also uses an upgraded Xiaoyi voice assistant called Celia. Its AI functions include voice-to-text, automatic split-screen, real-time document translation, and photo retouching.

This cutting-edge marvel, which blends advanced technology with sleek aesthetics, comes with a staggering price tag of approximately Ksh 388,000. On the other hand, the device is currently on pre order, however the phone will be up by 20th September 2024
